BEFORE UMD: Signed on with the Bulldog program this past winter after spending the previous four years at the University of North Dakota ... started three seasons at cornerback for North Dakota, an NCAA Division I (FCS) institution ... closed out the 2013 season ranking ninth on the North Dakota defensive charts with 37 total tackles ... also came away with one interception in addition to breaking up three passes while starting all 11 games ... was limited to nine appearances and six starts as a sophomore because of a nagging foot injury ... wound up 14 tackles, including nine solos, and als recovered his first -- and only -- fumble to date that season ... received the 2012 North Dakota Athletic Directors Award of Merit ... carved out a spot on the College Sports Journal All-Freshman Team (FCS) and was a All-Great Lakes West honorable mention selection in 2011 after figuring in on 30 tackles in 11 starts at the right corner ... also had a pair of interceptions that fall ... was redshirted as a first-year freshman at North Dakota in 2010 ... is a 2010 graduate of Wayzata High School.
