2016: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Four-year starter (running back and free safety) at Spooner High School ... was an All-Heart O' North Conference selection in both 2014 and 2013 ... captained the Rails as a junior and senior while playing under head coach Jeromie Voeltz ...  lettered three times in track for the Rails and is the school's record holder in the long jump ... earned All-State distinction in that event after placing third in the Wisconsin high school meet.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Desmond Fielding Sr. and Lorna and Terry Margenau ... is majoring in criminology at UMD.
