BEFORE UMD: Is one of three Eagan High School alums who will join the Bulldog football program next fall (joining Connor Randall and Eric Woodcock) ... corralled a number of postseason honors in 2011 -- All-South Suburban Conference, St. Paul Pioneer Press All-State and Associated Press All State (honorable mention) in addition to being the recipient of Eagan's Most Valuable Offensive Player Award ... ranked first among the 2011 Wildcats in rushing and established team single-season records for most 100-yard rushing games (seven) and touchdown passes (16) ... wound up second on the Wildcats' all-time total offense charts (3,814 yards) ... played for head coach Rick Sutton ... was a two-year starter in football and basketball (guard) and also played three years of golf as a prep (qualifying for the 2011 Minnesota State High School Tournament) ... served as a team captain in all three of those sports ... is the son of Dave and Lynn Bauer.
