BEFORE UMD:  Three-time football letterman and two-year starter (center/guard) at Irondale High School ... played under head coach Ben Geisler ... All-North Suburban Conference (2012 and 2013) ... Knight's team captain (2012-13) ... also competed four years in wrestling at Irondale High School ... 2012-13 All-State and All-Conference heavyweight.
