Played in three games for UMD and posted one tackle.
2021
Due to a season ending injury, appeared in just one game in 2021. Tallied three solo tackles and four total tackles in UMD's week two 30-10 victory over Minnesota St.
2020
Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019
Appeared in nine games for UMD. Notched a 41 yard punt return touchdown. Averaged 14.33 yards per kick return. Caught one pass for 28 yards. Tallied 10 total tackles and two TFL (-4 yards) on the season.Â
2018
Did most of his heavy lifting on special teams -- namely the kickoff unit where he registered eight of his nine tackles on the season ... appeared in 11 of 12 games, bypassing the Sept. 29 home bout with Concordia-St. Paul.
2017
Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (defensive back, wide receiver, running back and linebacker) at Patrick Henry High School ... was saluted with All-District honors in both 2016 and 2015 ... topped the Patriots in scoring and served as their team captain during his final prep go-around ... played under head coach Mark Heiser ... also flexed plenty of muscle with the Patrick Henry High School track program -- took second and fourth in the 200- and 100-meter dashes, respectively at the 2016 Minnesota State Class AA Meet ... also lettered twice in baseball (outfielder) at Patrick Henry High School.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Jerry Versey and Lakesha Walton ... has five siblings (Sandra, Briana, Lashaye, Sharesha and Demiyah) ... is an psychology major at UMD.
