BEFORE UMD: Started two years at Lakeville North High School while playing guard, center, and defensive tackle. Helped the Panthers capture the 2018 State Championship at U.S. Bank Stadium. Was named a team captain as well as an All-District Honorable Mention. 

PERSONAL: Is the son of Paul and Michelle Grillo ... has one brother (Derek) ... is majoring in business at UMD. Enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing in his free time.
