AS A BULLDOG:
2018: Proved to be a promising addition to UMD's ball-catching brigade ... finished the year with six receptions (and 39 receiving yards) to his name, including a pair in the NCAA II playoff setback to Texas A&M-Commerce ... also rushed twice for 11 yards (with both of those attempts coming against Minnesota Crookston) ... played in eight games and started twice ... was sidelined for three outings with two separate lower body injuries ... wore No. 83.
2017: Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Four-year starter (quarterback and defensive back) at Highland High School ... was one of 16 finalists for the 2016 Dave Krieg Award, which is given annually to the Wisconsin's top senior quarterback ... topped the Six Rivers Conference in rushing as a senior with 1,302 yards ... was named the Six Rivers Conference Most Valuable Offensive Player in 2015 ... twice secured All-Six Rivers Conference and Dodgeville Chronicle All-Area honors (2015 and 2016) ... captained the Cardinals for three straight seasons (2014-16) ... was injured for all but two games of his sophomore year ... played under head coach Mike Aide ... also was a four-time prep letterwinner and all-conference performer in a pair of sports -- basketball (guard) and baseball (pitcher, shortstop, outfielder).
PERSONAL: Is the son of John and J.J. Linscheid ... his uncle, John Hebgen, was a Minnesota State University-Mankato quarterback and a regional finalist for the  Harlon Hill Award (NCAA II player of the year) in 1996 ... is an undeclared major at UMD.
