  • 2023 NSIC All-Conference; First Team Special Teams 
  • 2023 NSIC Fall All-Academic Team
  • Held the second longest punt in the conference at 73 yards, and had four punts over 50 yards
  • Averaged 39.8 yards a punt
  • played in all 11 games in the 2023 season
2022
Competed in all 11 games in 2022...Punted a total of 34 times for 1276 yards with his longest at 51...Averaged 37.5 yards per punt.

2021
Competed in eight games for the Bulldogs. Punted 44 times for a total of 1,704 yards. Averaged 38.7 yards per punt. Notched six 50+ yard punts, while also dropping ten punts inside the 20-yard line. Longest punt of the season was 55 yards at MSU Moorhead in week five. Pulled off a successful fake punt by throwing an 18-yard pass against the Dragons.
 
BEFORE UMD: Started for three years at Pulaski High School as a punter, offensive tackle, and defensive end. Earned First Team All-Conference honors as both a punter and offensive linemen during his junior season. Was also named an All-Region punter for the Red Raiders. Competed on the track & field team as a discus thrower. Played first base and pitched on the baseball team for three years as well.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Greg and Sue Kobus ... Is majoring in  Environmental Sustainability at UMD. Enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing other types of sports when he's away from the field.
