Biography

AS A BULLDOG: 
2021: Competed in eight games for the Bulldogs. Served as both a punter and defensive back. Posted six solo and seven assisted tackles for 13 total tackles. Noted ten punts for an average of 39 yards per punt. Posted two punts of 50+ yards and five punts inside the 20-yard line. 
2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Three-year starter (safety, wide receiver, quarterback and punter) at Burnsville High School ... played under head coach Vince Varpness ... proved to be a ball-hawking defender for the Blaze, closing out 2018 with eight interceptions -- including two which he ran back for touchdowns -- to finish as the school's all-time leader in picks ... also was credited with 32 tackles as a senior ... made the Minneapolis Star-Tribune All-Metro first team in 2018 ... participated for Team South at the 46th annual Minnesota Football Coaches Association Tackle Cancer All-Star Football Game in December 2018 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis ... also was four-year prep basketball letterman.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Tom and Deb Shepley ... has three older siblings (Brett, Tucker, and Jake) ... is majoring in business at UMD.
