2022
• NSIC All-Academic Team 
Played in all 11 games for UMD... Completed six receptions for 149 yards...Longest reception at 55 yards...Averaged 24.8 yards/catch... Scored three receiving touchdowns...Threw one pass of 15 yards for a touchdown.

2021
• NSIC All-Academic Team 
Appeared in five games for the Bulldogs. Caught two passes for 15 yards and one touchdown. Touchdown reception came during UMD's upset win over Augustana in week ten. Had one carry for seven yards on the year. 

2020
• NSIC All-Academic Team 
Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019
Played in four games for the Bulldogs on the season. Made one catch for ten yards. 

2018
Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.

BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (defensive back/quarterback/wide receiver/return specialist) at Onalaska High School ... was showered with a bevy of postseason honors following his senior year,  including selections to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Region Team (quarterback), Wisconsin Associated Press All-State Team (honorable mention quarterback), All-Mississippi Valley Conference Team (first team quarterback and second team defensive back) and the All-La Crosse Tribune Team (first team all-purpose player) ... threw for 1,884 yards and 24 touchdowns (the second highest total in team history) and ran for 955 yards (a program record for a quarterback) and 11 touchdowns in 2017 ... was picked off just six times in 228 pass attempts ... captained the Hilltoppers to a share of the 2017 Mississippi Valley Conference championship ... played under head coach Tom Yashinsky ... also lettered four years in basketball (point guard) and three seasons in track and field (all-conference sprinter) for the Hilltoppers.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Russ and Jennifer Skifton ... has two younger brothers (Cody and Adam) ... majored in finance for undergrad... a graduate student in the MBA program at UMD.
