Biography

AS A BULLDOG:
2018 - Was redshirted as a first-year freshman ... spent last winter strutting his stuff with the UMD track and field team and, in his collegiate long jump debut (Jan. 26 in Menomonie, Wis.), broke the program's longest-standing indoor record by leaping 23'-02.00" to eclipse the previous Bulldog mark of 22'-11.25" set by Kevin Lindell back on Feb. 18, 1980 ... that came two weeks after he equaled another UMD all-time best in the 60-meter dash (6.95).
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (defensive back/running back) at Stevens Point Area Senior High School ... earned Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Region and All-State (honorable mention) honors in 2017 ... was cited as the Wisconsin Valley Conference's Defensive Back of the Year as a senior in addition to making the All-WVC Team for a second straight season ... played under head coach Pete McAdams ... also lettered four times in track and field (sprints and jumps) with the Panthers.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Jon and Dawn Hamerski ... has young sibling (Taylor) ... is an undeclared major at UMD.
