BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter at Streamwood High School ... was a member of the Sabres varsity program for four seasons and during that stretch did time at free safety, cornerback, wide receiver, linebacker, running back, defensive end, punter and kick and punt returner ... played under head coach Donald Guindon  ... also lettered three times in wrestling (170/182-pound division) and four times in track and field (sprints and long jump) for the Sabres.
