AS A BULLDOG:
2017: Projected himself into the starting right guard picture and made the most of it by landing All-NSIC North Division second team honors ... was among the nearly one dozen Bulldogs to start in all 12 games.
2016: Served as All-American Peter Bateman's understudy at left offensive tackle for a second straight season ... appeared in five outings.
2015: Took snaps in seven of the team's 12 games ... bypassed the Oct. 3 road bout with Minnesota State-Moorhead while nursing an ankle injury.
2014: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Four-time football letterman (offensive line) and four-year starter at Rice Lake High School ... played under head coach Dan Hill ... All-Big Rivers Conference first team (2013) and honorable mention (2012) ... Eau Claire Leader-Telegram All-Northwest Team (2013) ... Warrior team captain (2013) ... also lettered twice in basketball (center) and once in track (thrower) at Rice Lake High School.  
PERSONAL: Is the son of Brad and Sabrina Ward ... is majoring in biology at UMD.
