Biography

AS A BULLDOG:
2018: Dutifully bided his time backing up senior All-American center Jason Anderson ... took part in eight of the team's 12 outings.
2017: Finally got some game reps under his belt while filling a supporting role on the UMD offensive line ... made five appearances, including the Oct. 14 clash at Northern State where he was called on to rush once, picking up a yard after fumbling.
2016: Bid the year a premature adieu when he went down with a season-ending lower body injury in mid-October ... had not played in any games to that point.
2015: Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (center) at Robert M. LaFollette High School ... secured All-BIg Eight Conference recognition both of those years (first team in 2014 and second team in 2013) ... was an integral part of two undefeated Madison city championship clubs ... played for head coach Scott Swanson ... participated one year with the Lancer track and field team (shot put and discus).
PERSONAL: Is the son of Gabriel and Kristine Oruruo ... has two younger sisters (Stella and Rebecca) ...  is majoring in civil engineering at UMD.
