GETTING TO KNOW JAKE KLUVER:
Favorite Cross Country Meet: Milaca Mega Meet! There’s just so many people out there who love running just as much as you do, and that is a fun atmosphere to be in.
Favorite Track Meet: Hamline Elite Meet! The stands are full of cheering fans, the races are full of the best runners in the state, and you get to run under the lights of Hamline.
Why I Chose UMD: I love trail running more than anything else and Duluth has some of the best trails in the Midwest. I also chose Duluth simply because I love how there's always something to do outside no matter what season we’re in.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My parents, for supporting and believing in me through all the difficult times in my running career. My high school coaches, for pushing me to always do my best and for being patient when I was too stubborn to see the right path. Finally, one of my best friends Frank, for always being a training partner I can count on, for always giving me his honest opinion, and for pushing me through high school to be the best runner I could be.
Favorite College Course: Health Psychology
What Most People Don't Know About Me: I know how to cook minute rice in 59 seconds!!!
Most Memorable UMD Athletic Moment: Toeing the line at my first collegiate Cross Country race at Crown College.
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: I take a shot of Honey before I go to the line for a quick sugar rush.  
Favorite Professional Athlete: Galen Rupp! Such a tactical racer.
Sport I'd Like to Try Someday: Hockey!

High School Highlights: Four-time Cross Country and Track letter award winner at BHS, 2016 Conference and Section champion in XC, State participant in Track and XC both Junior and Senior years.
