GETTING TO KNOW ANDREW ARTHUR:
Why I Chose UMD: I chose to attend UMD primarily for the financial benefit opportunities that I would receive upon attending. However, Duluth is an amazing city with so much to do, and being that I've lived here most of my life, I can't be much closer to home.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My family and friends have all made an impact on my running career. Although, the greatest impact has to be from my friends, as they were the ones to get me into running seriously in the first place.
What Most People Don't Know About Me: I was born in Alaska, and I played the saxophone for 8 years.
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: The guys on my high school team would always circle up, while someone gave a pep talk just before each race.
Favorite Professional Athlete: Michael Phelps

High School Highlights: Cross Country state participant 2 years, PR in the mile at 4:26, lettering in cc and track every year at EHS
