GETTING TO KNOW JAKE FRISELL:
Why I Chose UMD: I chose UMD because I fell in love with the city and the area in general. I also love hockey and wanted to go to school somewhere where I can skate during the winter and also support our bulldog hockey team! The opportunity to continue throwing for track and field was an amazing bonus!
Influences On My Athletic Career: Both of my parents encouraged me to participate in sports my whole life and they supported me throughout everything I tried. Win or lose they are always there to support me.
What Most People Don’t Know About Me: I love playing Frisbee golf in my spare time.
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: Aside from the usual pre-meet warm-ups, Right before every throw I need to do some sort of sprints or high knees so that I’m warm when I step into the circle to throw.
Favorite Professional Athlete: Tracy McGrady

High School Attended: Minnehaha Academy
Years Varsity in Track: Four
High School Highlights: Varsity Football, Hockey, and Track at Minnehaha Academy. 4^th place in Discus at 2016 MSHSL State meet, Holds the school record in Discus, member of the Minnehaha choir for 2 years, 2x all conference for Track.
