AS A  BULLDOG:
2021: Continued to build an impressive resume and started all 47 games of the season ... recorded 23 runs on 52 hits with ten doubles, one triple, and a team-high 11 homeruns ... notched 44 RBI ... ended the season with a batting average of .369 and a slugging percentage of .688 .. had an on-base percentage of .455 ... tallied 351 putouts ... earned herself a host of post-season accolades including NSIC All-Conference First Team and NFCA DII Central Region Second Team ... also excelled in the classroom and was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
2020: Started all 19 games played before the season was canceled due to COVID-19 ... notched 11 runs, 24 hits, and six homeruns ... tallied 19 RBI ... had a slugging percentage of .682 ... recorded 142 putous.
2019: Picked up right were she left off the previous spring and wound up finishing atop the Bulldog charts in a bevy of categories including batting (a career-high .321 average), hits (54), runs batted in (38), slugging percentage (.601), total bases (101), on-base percentage (.394) doubles (15) and put outs (345) .. was one of just two Bulldogs to answer the starting call in all 55 games ... successfully advanced runners at a team-high 60.7 percent rate ... was both a NSIC Academic Team of Excellence Award and a NFCA Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
2018:  Was aptly bestowed with National Fastpitch Coaches' Association All-Region second team honors as a rookie ... gave the Bulldogs a much needed power in the middle of the order ... splashed on scene after finishing up the UMD basketball season and put up 15 home runs and 50 RBI after missing the first 13 games ... ranked 23th in the nation in home runs, fifth most among freshmen and second on the team ... became the first Bulldog to hit three home runs in a game and the first to hit consecutive home runs in three straight at-bats , doing so against LIU Post fon March 8 ... paced the Bulldogs with a .733 slugging percentage and was fifth in batting (.321) ...  drove in the third most runs (50, the eighth most by an NCAA II newcomer) of any Bulldog ... collected her first collegiate hit in her first collegiate game (vs. Holy Family on March 4)  ... was a dual sport athlete for UMD as she is also a member of the basketball team.
BEFORE UMD: Is a  2017 graduate of Hermantown High School ... earned All-Lake Superior Conference honors in her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior seasons ...named to the Duluth News Tribune All-Area team in her junior and senior seasons • averaged 13.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals in her final season with the Hawks ... finished her high school playing career with 1,327 points and was awarded All-State honorable mention ... earned all-conference honors in softball and volleyball as well • claimed 2017 Duluth News Tribune Player of the Year citation for softball.
PERSONAL: Born Jordyn Thomas in Hermantown, Minn. ... is the daughter of Mike and Kelli, who both have rich traditions at UMD ... Mike was an All-American offensive linemen for UMD and Kelli (Ritzer) received All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference recognition in both basketball (four times) and softball (three) and is a member of the UMD Athletic Hall of Fame ... has an older brother, Jared, who played center for the hockey Bulldogs for four seasons (2014-18) ... her uncle, Cory Thomas, also lettered in baseball and football for UMD  while her late grandfather, Ron Thomas, played football from 1954 to 1957 at UMD ... is  majoring in biology at UMD.
