Biography

AS A BULLDOG: 
2018 - Duplicated her role as the backup catcher and as a pinch runner appearing in 30 games, starting in 20 games (15 as catcher) ... wrapped up the year with 14 hits, three of those doubles, on 61 at-bats ... a .230 hitter who notched her first collegiate home run against LIU Post ... had a three-game hitting streak which started with the homer ... posted 61 outputs and two throwing assists from her catching position ... paced the team in pinch hits going 2-for-6.
2017 - Served as the backup catcher and as a pinch runner in her first collegiate season ... made nine starts at catcher and appeared in 31 games ... finished the season with five hits on 36 at-bats, a pair of RBIs at the plate ... recorded her first collegiate hit on March 6 versus LIU Post and backed that up with an RBI triple on March 8 against Holy Family ... swiped three bases and scored seven runs ... was perfect in the field converting on all 28 opportunities. 
BEFORE UMD: Is a 2016 graduate of Northwestern High School ... started all four years for the Tigers ... four-time recipient of All-Heart O' North Conference (first team) honors ... helped the Tigers win back-to-back WIAA regional championships (2015 and 2016) ... made the Superior Telegram All-Area Team four times and has three times been voted the Tigers' Most Valuable Defensive Player (2014, 2015, and 2016) ... was picked as Rookie of the Year her freshman season ... played under head coach, her father, Scott Janigo ... also lettered the last three years in volleyball (outside hitter).
PERSONAL: Born Lexi Judith Janigo in Duluth, Minn. ... is the daughter of Scott and Peggy Sue Janigo ... has two older sisters (Stephanie and Kelcee) ... is majoring in psychology at UMD.
