Biography

2024 (Freshman):
  • Saw action in eight games, making two starts
  • Tallied two hits and scored three runs in a reserve role
  • Finished the season hitting .200 and sported a perfect fielding percentage
  • Made her starting debut against Southwest Baptist on Mar. 2
  • Corralled her first collegiate hit against Saint Anselm on Mar. 8
BEFORE UMD: A 2023 graduate from Arrowhead High School.Collected both all-district and all-conference honors. Garnered two all-state selections (one first team and one second team honor). Named both a team MVP and captain in high school. Played for the Wisconsin Bandits where she was named a PG Offensive MVP. A High/Honor Roll student that was awarded the Student Achiever Award in 2018 and 2019 and a WINGS Mentor (volunteering program at Arrowhead).

PERSONAL: Daughter of Rebecca Mattano and Brian Thomas. Has one sister, Madeline. Plans to major in Biology at UMD.
