Mathews transferred from Saint Mary’s University during the 2015-16 season. She practiced with the Bulldogs in the second semester.

BEFORE UMD:
2013-14 (Freshman) Played in five games as a freshman at Saint Mary’s • averaged 2.0 points and pulled in 1.6 rebounds per game.
A 2013 graduate of Bethlehem Academy • averaged 18.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 7.3 steals per game her senior season • lettered in six seasons for head coach Tammy Filzen and the Cardinals • named Faribault Daily News’ All-Area Girls Player of the Year in 2011-12 • was named to the All-Gopher Conference teams in her freshman through senior seasons • earned All-State honors senior season • played volleyball as an outside hitter for the Cardinals and ranks second in school history in digs and eighth in kills.
PERSONAL: Born Jessica Rose Mathews in Faribault, Minn. • daughter of Paula and John Mathews •  has brother Drew (25) and sister Lauren (19) • is majoring in biology at UMD.
