BEFORE UMD: A 2016 graduate of Hill-Murray School • played five seasons and started three for coach Erin herman as a forward and center • named MVP of the Minnesota Basketball News Top-100 Expo Showcase • earned All-Metro East Conference honors in 2013-14 and 2014-15 • served as captain her senior year • made two Minnesota State Tournament appearances • also played volleyball as an all-conference middle hitter, earning All-Metro Team honors by the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
PERSONAL: Born Samantha Joelle Schneider in Maplewood, Minn. • daughter of Joyce and Gene Schneider • has two siblings, Gene and Nicki • while at Hill-Murray, participated in Link Leaders, National Honor Society, and peer tutoring in • earned Excellence in Biology award, gold service award, and "A" honor roll • She plans to major in Exercise Science at UMD.
