UMD Athletics

2021-22 (Sophomore): Hakamaki appeared in 13 games during her sophomore season averaging 2.6 minutes per game. She scored her first points of her career as she scored 10 points on the year while also grabbing 7 rebounds. 

2020-21 (Freshman): Hakamaki saw action in five games her rookie campaign averaging 1.2 minutes per game. In that time she attempted one shot, grabbed one rebound, and recorded a personal foul. 

BEFORE UMD: Shaily comes to UMD after playing for the Cardinals for five straight years. In her five year career, Shaily was able to drop 2,000 points, captain the team for three years, attain All-Conference status and was a state participant three times. On top of playing basketball for five years, Shaily also played volleyball, in which she played and started four years at the middle hitter position (she was All-Conference all four years). She ran track as well for six years, starting five of those six. She was a state participant for four years and holds three school records.

PERSONAL: Born Shaily Ann Hakamaki... born in Moose Lake, Minn.... is the daughter of Scott and Janell Hakamaki... has one sister, Natalee (16)... is majoring in Education at UMD.
