GETTING TO KNOW MEGHAN CIHASKY:
Favorite CC Meet: Griak! I remember running there as a freshman in high school and watching the collegiate races, now I’m racing in it!
Favorite Track Meet: Gustavus, ran my first ever 4x400!
Why I Chose UMD: You can never be bored between the hiking trails and beautiful city, makes running that much better! They have a top-notch location for an environmental science major. Plus, I love rocks and there’s no shortage here.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My dad, I grew up watching him race and through his own dedication to the sport I learned to love running and that the more miles you go, the better.
Favorite College Course: Art History for the Non-Western World
What Most People Don't Know About Me: I’d rather be sleeping in a tent.
Most Memorable UMD Athletic Moment: The first time seeing the gravel mile repeat road and freaking out, then the feeling of accomplishing a great feat afterwards. Heck yes.
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: Taking a few deep breathes and say a quick prayer.
Favorite Professional Athlete: Gabriele Grunewald, strongest woman award.
Sport I'd Like to Try Someday: Lacrosse

High School Attended: Chippewa Falls Senior High School
Years Lettered/Competed with Varsity: Freshman-Senior Year, all 4 years
High School Highlights: Four-time Cross Country and Track letter award winner at CFHS, 2012-2016 Academic all-Conference, was named the Cross Country and Track captain my senior year.
