GETTING TO KNOW ALEX ROBRAN:
Why I Chose UMD: I connected really well with the team and coaches. I also loved the Duluth area, there's always so much to do.
Influences On My Athletic Career:Â My family has definitely pushed me to be the best runner possible. As well as all the coaches I've had over my running career. They've all encouraged me and taught me to be a better runner.Â
What Most People Don't Know About Me:Â I did gymnastics for 8 years.Â
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: I always write inspirational words on my calves, it really pumps me up for my race.Â
Favorite Professional Athlete:Â Jenny Simpson- I was able to watch her compete at the Drake Relays, and I look up to her so much as an athlete and a personÂ

High School Highlights:Â Three-time state cross country meet qualifier. Team Captain senior year of cross country. Inducted into the Ankeny High School Hall of Fame. Three-time state track meet qualifier in the 3000m. Drake Relays qualifier in the 3000m. Voted Team Leader senior year. Received Academic All State award. National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Member.Â
