Biography
GETTING TO KNOW ALLIE CARPENTER:
Why I Chose UMD: I chose UMD because of the beautiful city and because I have the opportunity to run/jump on the track and field team.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My high school coaches, Gary Wilson and Tyler McCormick. Without them, I would not be the athlete I am today. Also, my best friend Katie Regnier for always supporting and motivating me on and off of the track.
What Most People Don’t Know About Me: I was a cheerleader for 5½ years.
Pre-Meet Ritual/Superstition: Listening to music.
Favorite Professional Athlete: The professional runner I look up to most is Gabriele Grunwald. She has been faced with more than her fair share of adversity, she still continues to run. My favorite sport besides track is hockey, and my favorite Minnesota Wild Player is Zach Parise.
