Biography

BULLDOG CAREER:
2017-18 (Sophomore) Saw action in 11 games playing a total of 52 minutes • a rotational player that didn't see much scoring • seven of her nine points came from the charity stripe as she shot 77.8 percent from the stripe • pulled down a career high eight rebounds in the victory over Bemidji State • selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2016-17 (Freshman) A key contributor off the bench after spending the season prior coming off an injury, playing in 27 games including one start • produced right from the get-go dropping 11 points and grabbing seven boards in her debut • was rewarded with a start in her next contest at Northern Michigan on Nov. 22, 2016 • collected 142 points, 83 rebounds, 18 steals and 17 assists • knocked down a season high 16 points at home vs. U-Mary on Dec. 30 • was a perfect 4-for-4 from downtown against Bemidji State on Dec. 2 • reached double figures eight times including a three game stretch from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3 • tallied three steals twice and two assists three times throughout the season.

Buckley received a medical redshirt in 2015-16.

BEFORE UMD: Spent a season training as a redshirt player with NCAA I the University of North Dakota before transferring to UMD • a 2014 graduate of Rice Lake High School • started four years for coach Gary Larson and the Warriors • twice voted to the All-Big Rivers Conference while also receiving All-Northwest Wisconsin honors as a junior • voted the 15th-best senior in the Top 50 Seniors of Wisconsin • served as captain her senior year • finished both her sophomore and juniors seasons as the top rebounder in the conference • also competed at an all-conference level in volleyball as an outside hitter and middle blocker and in track & field.

PERSONAL: Born Jocelyn Jeanette Buckley in St. Paul, Minn. • daughter of Angie and J.K. Buckley • one of four siblings (Emma, Parker, and Peyton) • participated in National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America and three-times earned the 4.0 GPA Award while at Rice Lake • plans to double major in communication sciences and disorders and psychology at UMD.
