2015 (Freshman): Looks forward to competing for the Bulldogs in her first year at UMD.

 

Before UMD: Letter winner in swimming, basketball, and track at Mesabi East High School • Minnesota State Track and Field Class A state qualifier in the 800M, 4x400M relay and 4x800M relay • FInished 6th place in the 800M at the Minnesota State Class A Championship


Personal: Born Samantha Jean Ekman on March 23, 1994 • Daughter of Steve and Lori Ekman • Three older siblings; Andrew, Kristina and Erika
