Biography
2016-17: For a second consecutive year, skated in all of UMD's 37 games, adding a goal and three assists four points ... almost doubled her shots on goal total from her sophomore campaign, recording 44 ... repeated as a 2016-17 WCHA Scholar Athlete, as well as a 2016-17 WCHA All-Academic Team.
2015-16: Played in all 37 games, notching a goal and two assists for three points ... netted her first collegiate goal against Wisconsin on Nov. 14, 2015 ... posted 29 shots on goal ... was both a 2015-16 WCHA Scholar Athlete and 2015-16 WCHA All-Academic Team selection.
2014-15: Skated in nine games last season ... recorded four shots and picked up one penalty.
BEFORE UMD: Warroad’s captain was named a Ms. Hockey Semi-finalist her senior season of high school, combining for 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points in 21 games from the blueline .. won back-to-back state hockey titles with Warroad High School in 2010 and 2011, as well as earning third-place in 2012 and runner-up in 2013 … selected to the MSHS All-Tournament team in both 2012 and 2013 … named to the All-State squad in 2012, 2013, and 2014m and was also All-State Honorable Mention in 2011 … USA Hockey National Camp participant for the past three years (2011-2013) … owns two school records for track at Warroad in the mile and two mile.
PERSONAL: Born Lynn Mansfield Astrup in Grand Forks, North Dakota ... daughter of Keith and Susan Astrup ... has one older sister (Jane) and one older brother (Tommy) and a younger brother (Bobby) ... graduated from Warroad High School in 2014 ... is majoring in accounting and finance at UMD.
