EUSTACE AND OUELLETTE TO PLAY WITH TEAM CANADA THIS WEEKEND

Two Bulldog forwards, Joanne Eustace (Torbay, Newfoundland) and Caroline Ouellette (Montreal, QUE) will miss UMD's opening series against Providence College this weekend due to a Team Canada Development camp. This six-day camp will feature forty of Canada's best women's hockey players and will be held in Toronto, ON from October 8-13, 2002.

This will be the first ever Team Canada camp for UMD senior, Eustace, who has previous national team experience with the Canadian National U-22 Teams. Ouellette, who joined the Bulldogs this year, has been a member of the Canadian National Team since 1999, winning one Olympic gold medal (2002, Salt Lake City, UTAH) and three World Championships (1999, 2000, 2001) with Team Canada.

During the 2002-2003 season, Canada's National Women's Team will be taking part in the 2002 4 Nations Cup in Kitchener, ONT from November 6-10, 2002 and the 2003 IIHF World Hockey Championship in Beijing, China from April 2-8, 2003.

This weekend the defending National Champions, the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs will travel to Providence, RI to open their season with a pair of non-conference games against Providence College. The games are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m (CST).
