Insidecollegehockey.com released its 2009-10 All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association Team and award winners today (March 12) and among those cited were a pair of University of Minnesota Duluth standouts -- sophomore center Jack Connolly and junior left winger Rob Bordson.
Connolly, who currently ranks second among all WCHA skaters in overall scoring with a career-high 45 points, was named to INCH's six-member All-WCHA Team while Bordson, a fellow Duluthian and Marshall School graduate, received its Breakthrough Player of the Year Award -- the second Bulldog (current junior right winger Justin Fontaine was the other) in as many years to be so honored. Bordson has racked up nine goals and 28 assists (the third highest figure in the WCHA) this winter after going pointless in 15 games one year ago.
