BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: ROB HUBERTY

This season in his final collegiate go-around, Rob Huberty has had the privilege of doing what just four other Bulldogs have ever done before -- captain a defending national champion.

Huberty, who is handling that duty with fellow senior Cory Flesch in 2011, has seen field time in 52 University of Minnesota Duluth games over the past four seasons and has filled a starting role at outside linebacker since his sophomore year. The 2011 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Preseason Defensive Player of the Year currently ranks ninth on UMD's all-time sack list with 15.0 and needs just 14 more tackles to hit the 200 mark for his career.

Huberty, a native of Lena, Wis, and the No. 15 Bulldogs will return to James Malosky Stadium this Saturday to host the University of Minnesota Crookston.
