The University of Minnesota Duluth captured five individual titles -- including a pair by Amelia Maher -- Saturday afternoon at the Warrior Open in Winona, Minn. Maher, a sophomore from Sauk Center, Minn., took top honors in both the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.20) and the high jump (5'-05.25') and was joined in the winner's circle by senior Rebecca Lee (15.63 in the 100-meter hurdles), sophomore Hannah Jocelyn (11:55.37 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase) and freshman Kayla Wiltrout (10'-06.00" in the pole vault). Emily Muellner placed second behind Jocelyn in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:14.14 while another sophomore, Erin Pangerl, (13.25 in the 100-meter dash) and freshman Madeline Schaeffer (16.25 in the 100-meter hurdles) both turned in third-place finishes.
The Warrior Open will conclude Sunday at the Winona State University Track Complex with the completion of the heptathlon and individual throwing events.
