The University of Minnesota Duluth took its indoor track and field show to the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, Minn on Saturday for the Northwest Open and received solid performances from a number of Bulldogs.
Headlining that list was senior
Cole Toepfer who finished fourth in the mile rule and did so with an NCAA Division II-provisionally qualifying time of 4:15.68. In addition, junior
Chris Wilson was fourth the in the 800 meters (1:56.79) and is closing in on a NCAA Division II provisional-qualifying time. Sophomore
Mark Emlaw finished seventh in the long jump 6.50 meters (21' - 4"), junior
Phil d'Entremont turned in the seventh best time (51.53) in the 400-meter dash, junior
Nick Moran was seventh in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 16.03m (52' 7.25"), and senior
Tyler Stevens also took seventh in the 800 meters with a lifetime best of (1:57.56).
The Bulldogs will be in St. Paul, Minn. this Friday (Jan. 24) to take part in the University of St. Thomas Invitational.
