HOMECOMING WEEK BEGINS FIVE-GAME HOMESTAND FOR BULLDOGS

The University of Minnesota Duluth had just three home games in its first 12, but now will return to Malosky Stadium for its next five, including a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches as part of UMD Homecoming weekend.

UMD (5-7-0, 5-4-0 NSIC) will be happy to return home this weekend and host Minot State University under the lights of Malosky Stadium on Friday night before the University of Mary comes to town on Sunday afternoon.

QUICK HITS
• Senior forward Maureen Stormont added seven points and three goals to her career totals as UMD went 1-1 last weekend against Wayne State and Augustana. She now sits within nine points and four goals of the all-time Bulldog career marks. She scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in UMD's 4-2 win over Wayne State on Saturday afternoon.
• Senior goalkeeper Marissa Rosa made 13 stops on the weekend as UMD went 1-1 against Wayne State and Augustana, including a season-high seven saves against Augie on Sunday afternoon.
• While the Bulldog offense has been nearly the same on the road as it has at home - scoring 1.22 goals per game away from Malosky Stadium compared to 1.67 at home - its defense has been different at home. Opponents have averaged 5.67 shots on goal at Malosky Stadium and 6.11 in road matches, and that half a shot has proven all the different: opponents are scoring 1.56 goals per game on the road but have just two goals in Duluth as the Bulldogs have recorded a pair of shutouts.
