The University of Minnesota Duluth took a two-point lead to locker room at halftime but saw the No. 3-ranked Northern State University rally in the second half for a 62-46 victory at Romano Gym on Friday night.
UMD (4-4, 2-2 NSIC) falls back to even on the season and in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play as Northern State runs its record to 10-0 (4-0 NSIC) after shooting 60.0 percent in the second half.

UMD shot just 32.3 percent in the first half but took a lead to the locker room on the third-ranked team in the nation thanks to a 6-of-12 line from beyond the arc. As the Bulldogs cooled off, Northern State got hot. UMD opened an eight-point lead at 28-20 with 1:54 remaining in the opening half but saw that dip to just a pair beore the halftime break. The Wolves proved why they came to Romano Gym with an undefeated pedigree, outscoring the Bulldogs 42-18 from their high-water mark to the end of the game.
UMD had just three players score multiple baskets on the night with the rest of the team combining for a 2-for-13 night as the Bulldogs shot just 29.6 percent for the game. Compounding that, the Wolves scored 24 points off 18 UMD turnovers while the Bulldogs netted just 14 off 15 giveaways for NSU.
