2014 NSIC Women's Basketball Release Week No. 8 (Jan. 12, 2015)

University of Minnesota Duluth junior forward Taylor Meyer continued to impress with another career night last weekend and led UMD to a pair of victories, earning her third Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week selection of 2014-15.

Meyer continued to be the driving force for the Bulldogs' offense, averaging 26.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game on the weekend while shooting 54.5 percent from the field. Meyer scored a career-high 37 points on Friday night against Bemidji State while securing her seventh double-double of the season with 14 rebounds. Meyer then added 15 points, seven boards and two steals in a 72-67 win over Minnesota Crookston. Meyer had previously earned the NSIC's weekly honor on Dec. 8 and 22, 2014, earlier this season.

Wayne State (Neb.) College senior guard Ashton Yossi earned the NSIC South Division honors. Meyer and the Bulldogs will take on Yossi and the No. 19-ranked Wildcats in an interdivisional NSIC bout on Friday night at Romano Gymnasium. Opening tip is set for 6:00 p.m.
