A total of 14 University of Minnesota Duluth products have participated in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships since that event officially started in 1977, but on Thursday night
Joey Anderson became the first of those to claim a gold medal.
Anderson, a Bulldog rookie right winger, and his Team USA mates posted a 5-4 shootout-round victory over Canada in the title game at Montreal's Bell Centre.
