A University of Minnesota Duluth record that had stood for nearly 11 years fell by the wayside Friday night in Brookings, S.D.
The quartet of junior
Allie Stalboerger, junior
Danielle Kohlwey, junior
Michaela Hesse and sophomore
Paige DuBois came in second in the 4 x 400-meter relay race at the South Dakota State University II Invitational, and did so in meet-record time of 3:55.49. That bettered the previous school mark of 3:56.08 set by Alyssa Wendt, Amy Knudson, Greta Stangl and Liz Palkie at the University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open on Feb. 17, 2007.
Kohlwey also captured the 60-meter hurdles title in 8.53 while freshmen
Rhianna Rinke placed second in the 1,000-meter run (2:59.29) and junior
Meg Borowski took third in the mile run (5:06.80).
