The University of Minnesota Duluth claimed nine individual titles at Saturday's Twin Ports Invite, which was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
The winners included
Amber Seidenkranz in the mile run (5:24.74),
Kendra Monpas in the 200-meter dash (27.00),
Sarah Harrison in the 600-meter run (1:43.60),
Isabelle Brezinka in the 800-meter run (2:27.09),
Nicole Schneider in the 200-meter hurdles (29.00),
Rachelle LeBlanc in the pole vault (10'-11.75"),
Lindsay Maruska in the triple jump (34'-00.00"),
Alexandra Headley in the shot put (41'-04.50"), and
Bariture Igboh in the weight throw (47'-07-00").
Also on Saturday, junior
Danielle Kohlwey, competing primarily against NCAA I athletes, posted a time of 8.47 in the 60-meter hurdles at South Dakota State University's Jim Emmerich Invitational That bettered her previous school mark of 8.53 which she turned in at last year's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships and is the second best clocking in the NCAA Division ranks at the moment. Kohlwey also finished third in the 200-meter dash (25.30).
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Minnesota State University-Mankato Open and Multi this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 26-27).
