Danielle Kohlwey and senior
Amber Seidenkranz all ran to individual titles at the Minnesota State University Open on Saturday.
Borowski prevailed in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:01.95 -- and also took second in the mile run (5:02.72) while Kohlwey place first in the 60-meter hurdles (8.48) and second in the 200-meter dash (25.70). Her clocking of 8.44 in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries bettered her school record of 8.47, which she set last week. Kyes reigned in the 600-meter run, coming in at 1:39.30 while Seidenkranz did likewise in the 5,000-meter run (18:23.25). The Bulldogs also got second-place finishes from junior
Michaela Hesse in the 400-meter run (58.69) while Hesse (high jump in 5'-0.25"), senior
Erica Kesseh (7.69 in the 60-meter dash) and sophomore
Lizzie Schlafke (18:44.96 in the 5,000-meter run) all turned in third-place efforts.
The majority of Bulldogs will be in Duluth next Saturday (Feb. 3) for the College of St. Scholastica's Lake Superior Challenge with a select number of athletes competing in the two-day Bison Open, which gets underway on Friday in Fargo, N.D.
