Jason Herter, who is in his eighth season with the University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey staff, has been promoted to from assistant coach to associate head coach by Bulldog bench boss
Scott Sandelin.
Since enlisting his services with the Bulldogs, Herter has been part of one NCAA national champion (2018), five NCAA Tournament participants (2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and one NCHC Frozen Faceoff winner, and, in his debut season, saw center Jack Connolly claim the school's fifth Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
Herter, who in 2015-16 began a term on College Hockey, Inc.'s Board of Directors, oversees the UMD penalty kill unit and assists with its power play strategies.
