BULLDOGS HIT SEASON HIGH FOR POINTS IN WIN 87-75 WIN OVER OF MARY

The University of Minnesota Duluth won their sixth straight game and scored a season-high 87 points in their win against the University of Mary.

Senior forward Katie Stark put the Bulldogs up early, scoring eight points with a pair of 3-pointers. They finished the first quarter with a 19-13 lead. They built on to it by not turning over the ball in the second quarter and forcing five UMary turnovers. The Bulldogs went into halftime with a 42-31 lead, shooting 48.6% FG and 41.7% on 3-pointers. 

UMD closed out the game in the second half by winning the turnover battle and shooting at a high percentage. Stark made two 3 pointers toward the end to give the Bulldogs the 87-75 win.

Stark finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists and went 4-5 on 3-pointers. Sophomore forward Brooke Olson finished with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sophomore guard Maesyn Thiesen finished with 18 points, three assists and went 3-6 on 3-pointers, and junior forward Sarah Grow finished with 13 points, three rebounds and two blocks. 

Overall UMD shot 51.5% (34-66) FG, 38.9% (7-18) on 3-pointers and recorded 27 rebounds

The Bulldogs will be on the road next weekend with games at Sioux Falls (Dec. 13) and Southwest Minnesota State (Dec. 14).
