The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced this month it would induct former University of Minnesota Duluth and Kansas City Chiefs running back Ted McKnight into its annals later this year. The Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Hall of Fame Football Luncheon will take place on Oct. 16.
McKnight started his career on the Bulldog gridiron, leading NCAA II in rushing during his senior campaign with 1,482 yards and a program record 22 touchdowns while also setting UMD'ssingle-game records with 235 yards and six touchdowns. "Touchdown Teddy" became a second-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in the 1977 draft, but was released before the regular season.
