Bulldog Fan Cutouts Presented by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union

Support the Bulldogs inside AMSOIL Arena this winter, even if you are not present! With potential limited capacity, we thought it was integral to keep our home ice advantage and find a way for Bulldog Country to show their support on game day. Whether the cutout is of yourself, a friend, or family member, it is a great way to show your support for both UMD Men's and Women's Hockey programs for only $75 (includes both Men's and Women's Hockey home games). UMD Students can receive Fan Cutouts for only $25.

Please review the guidelines below to ensure success when uploading your photo. 

• Please place your order by November 20, 2020 to be featured for the first women's hockey home game and December 20, 2020 to be featured for the first men's hockey home game.  All other photos submitted after those dates will be printed weekly and not guaranteed for the first game. 
• Location will be sections 116 - 120. (exact locations TBD).
• The University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics reserves the right to reject any photo for any reason. If your photo is rejected, an athletics staff member will contact you about obtaining a new photo.
• The cost of fan cutouts are not included as part of season tickets, premium seat payments, or Bulldog Club membership payments. 
• Opportunities to claim your cutout at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season will be communicated at a later date.

Guidelines For The Perfect Photo

CHOOSING YOUR BULLDOG ATTIRE:

• A shirt color on the same color background will make you look like a floating head.
• Wearing a hat too low will cast a shadow on your eyes and conceal your face.
• If you want to wear a hat, make sure there is a good source of light in front of your face.
• Team colors and jerseys are encouraged!
• If you wear glasses, try tilting or angling your face to avoid glare on your glasses. Avoid using the flash, as well.

SELECTING A BACKGROUND:

• For best results use a solid-color background -- use a sheet or blanket if you don't have a wall that will work.
• Avoid backlighting -- don't stand in front of a window or a door with your back to them.
• Keep personal or private information off of the walls or objects behind you. While photos will be cropped, we can't guarantee that all backgrounds will be removed from these photos.

SNAPPING THE PICTURE:

• Have someone else take your picture. Selfies don't crop well.
• Include some space around your head and shoulders so that your body is not chopped off.
• Stand 3-4 feet away from the camera/phone, and have the photo taken at your eye level.
• Photo should be taken in vertical (portrait) format.

PHOTO SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• No commercial advertising, including company names, apparel brands, hashtags, social media handles, phone numbers, logos, slogans or other branding.
• Team-branded attire only. No third-party branding, including on apparel and in photo backgrounds. No attire or other branding of NCAA schools or sports teams.
• No political statements, logos, slogans or other political content.
• No offensive or negative comments about the institution or other NCAA schools or sports teams.
• No lewd, inappropriate or offensive photos.
• No arms raised in photos.
• No names, images, or likenesses of any NCAA players.

UMD Athletics reserves the right to reject any photo that it determines, in its sole discretion, violates these guidelines or is otherwise offensive, lewd, derogatory, infringing, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. If your photo is rejected, an athletics staff member will contact you about obtaining a new photo.

IMPORTANT - Have your photo ready prior to ordering your cutout. After completion of the ordering process you will be contacted by a UMD staff member to complete the process. Cutouts will be ordered weekly and must be ordered by November 20, 2020 to be featured for the first women's hockey home game and December 20, 2020 to be featured for the first men's hockey home game.
