UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
For the third time this season, Minnesota Duluth kicker
Curtis Cox has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Special Teams Player of the Week.
This past Saturday at Minot State, Cox went a perfect six-for-six on field goal attempts. A native of Dodgeville, Wis., Cox connected on two field goals from 39 and 29 yards out. Additionally, Cox successfully hit all four extra point attempts on the day. On the season, Cox has made 11 of 15 field goal opportunities. He's 1-for-1 on attempts of 50-yards or more and 1-for-1 on attempts between 40-49 yards out. He was also named the NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week back in September and early October.
Cox and UMD will return to James S. Malosky Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 6 for a 1:05 PM kickoff with No. 17 Augustana (SD).
