UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community. 

UMD senior defensive back Michael Kirkendoll has been named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week, the NSIC conference office announced on Monday morning. 

During Minnesota Duluth's 41-15 upset win over No. 17 Augustana on Saturday afternoon, Kirkendoll tallied two interceptions and eight total tackles on the day. Additionally, the Milwaukee, Wis. native, notched 29 kickoff return yards and added 0.5 tackles for loss against the Vikings.  Kirkendoll now has four interceptions on the season and six for his collegiate career. 

Kirkendoll and the Bulldogs will close out their regular season schedule on Saturday, Nov. 13 as they host Northern State on senior day. Kickoff from James S. Malosky Stadium is set for 1:05 PM.
