UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
Minnesota Duluth senior forward
Tanner Laderoute has been named the NCHC Forward of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
During UMD's split at No. 10 Western Michigan this past weekend, Laderoute tallied a total of four goals and a +3 rating during the two-game series in Kalamazoo, MI. On the weekend, Laderoute secured multi-goal games on both Friday and Saturday nights. During the Bulldogs 3-0 victory on Saturday, Laderoute buried a shorthanded breakaway goal to give Minnesota Duluth some insurance and a 2-0 lead. He then put the game away in the third period with a beautiful goal in tight to cap off a 3-0 road win.
Laderoute's weekend performance gives him the team-lead in goals with five on the season. Additionally, the Edmonton, AB native is now tied for the team-lead in points with six points in just eight games on the year. Laderoute is the second Bulldogs to receive the NCHC honor this season. Two weeks ago,
Blake Biondi was names the NCHC Forward of the Week after his performance against then ranked No. 4 Minnesota.
Laderoute and the Bulldogs will be back in action at AMSOIL this weekend as they face Colorado College. Puck-drop is set for 7:07 PM on both Friday and Saturday evenings in Duluth.
