University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey alum Tom Milani passed away earlier this week at the age of 69.
A Thunder Bay, ON native, Milani dressed in 146 games with the Bulldogs from 1972-1976, and served as team captain during his senior season in 1975-76. During his four years in Duluth, Milani would tally 100 career goals, the most of any player in UMD history.
Following his career in Duluth, Milani would post 145 goals and 302 total points in three seasons with the International Hockey League's Kalamazoo Wings. A two-time IHL Second Team All-Star, Milani helped the Wings to back-to-back IHL championships in 1978-79 and 1979-80. After his career in North America, Milani played nine more seasons professionally in Italy and represented the country at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
