Head Coach
Jim Boos became just the 15
th Head Coach in Division II volleyball history to reach the 500-win mark. Boos did so in tonight's win against Sioux Falls.

The Bulldogs were able to comeback against the Cougars in five sets to earn Coach Boos his 500
th win. Coach
Jim Boos has been a constant throughout the NSIC and Division II volleyball. Coach Boos is in his 20
th season with the Bulldogs has led the Bulldogs to 17 NCAA tournament appearances, 4 NCC Championships and has won 4 NSIC championships. Boos has also won the AVCAÂ National Coach of the Year (2004), AVCA Regional Coach of the Year four times, NSIC Coach of the Year three times and achieved the Number 1 ranking 17 different weeks.Â

Boos had already set the UMD career coaching record back on September 6
th, 2013, in a win against West Florida. Coach Boos has won at least 23 matches every season of his UMD tenure. There has been at least one player nominated for All-American in each year Boos has been at UMD to go along with numerous All-Region and All-Conference selections.

Coach Boos will be honored at the Bulldogs next home game on October 1
st as they host Minnesota State University – Mankato. We hope everyone can join us to celebrate Coach Boos' accomplishment!
